PROGRAM COST
$250 per athlete, max $600/family. This helps
cover entree fees, equipment and other
team expenses. Does not include uniforms or gear.

UNIFORMS
We will have links here to purchase your singlet and shorts. Our uniform will not change often, and typically is the same for Track and CC. Talk to Coach with questions about uniforms and shoes. You can use very similar, plain black shorts, or order these: SHORTS

COMMUNICATION
Please sign up with your preferred email and phone numbers. Most communication will come through text messages and emails. Reach out to Coach or some of the veteran families if you have questions.
PRACTICE
Our sport requires that you train to some degree all year. If you're in another sport or take time off, Coach will give you plans to help you stay healthy and avoid injuries. Most of our runners train 5-7 days per week, and this is mostly easy pace running. We teach specific training skills for strength, speed and endurance that you are expected to follow at home. Our sprinters and throwers lift weights and train power specific conditioning. We meet at least twice per week including winter training before track and summer training before cross country seasons.

LOCATIONS/TIME
We practice at several different parks and tracks around the Woodlands. Stay connected with team messages so you know any updates on times or locations. Most of our practices are in the evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays except for some mornings in the summer or winter breaks.
​
COMPETITIONS
Cross country meets go from late August-November, and track meets late February-May. There are championships that may continue a bit later so talk to Coach about the possibility of your athlete participating in those. Most high school meets are held on Saturday mornings, and some may or may not include middle school and high school on the same day. There may be a few competitions on weekdays.
